Stevie Rave On is a Colorado-based tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble — one of the most faithful and electrifying SRV tributes performing in the Intermountain region today. Four seasoned musicians bring decades of combined stage experience to every performance, recreating the raw power, emotional depth, and technical mastery that made SRV a legend.

The band draws on diverse roots — Detroit blues, British rock, Motown, jazz, and Colorado’s own deep live music tradition — channeling them into performances that honor SRV’s catalog with authenticity and fire. The Band

Joe Bear — Guitar & Vocals. A Detroit native shaped by Motown radio and a lifetime of blues, Joe has led Colorado bands since 1985 and brings the tone, feel, and intensity of SRV’s playing to every show.

Jimmy Z — Bass. Influenced by Paul McCartney and Jack Bruce, Jimmy brings deep groove experience from decades of performing across rock, soul, and blues.

Buzz Johnson — Drums. A lifelong player with roots in funk, R&B, and jazz, Buzz anchors the rhythm section with the pocket and power the music demands.

Kevin Johnson — Keys. A versatile multi-instrumentalist from Boulder, Kevin fills out the sound with the organ and piano textures that defined Double Trouble’s studio and live work.
